We provide 7/10/15 gallon of potato planting pots to better meet your planting needs; We recommend a 7 gallon grow bag for planting 3-4 potatoes, 10 gallon for 4-6 potatoes, 15 gallon for 6-8 potatoes.
Potato Planting Tutorial Step 1
: Moisten the soil and compost mix thoroughly. Fill about 2/3 full (8"-9" deep) with a 50/50 mixture of garden soil and compost.Put the potatoes in an environment with a room temperature of 55-60 ℉ Celsius, and each potato requires at least 2 bud eyes. Step 2
: Evenly space 3 to 5 seed potatoes and/or pieces ("seed eyes up" ) and cover with 3 inches of soil.As the potatoes continue growing, continue adding soil/compost mix until you reach the top of the grow bag. Step 3
: Water regularly. During hot and dry summer days, potato plants should be watered once every 2 to 3 days. During cooler days with rainfall, potatoes may not need watering at all. Step 4:
About 60 days later,Look for signs when the leaves start yellowing and the stems wilt. Then stop watering and wait a week or two. Potatoes are ready for harvesting when more than 50% of the leaves have turned yellow.
